Chapter 0612
Chapter 0612
Dylan almost lost it right then and there, tempted to demand if Suzy had actually accepted Elliot.
He wasn't the only one with that question. Outside the door, Allen and Desmond were equally baffled.
Desmond leaned toward Allen. "Is Mrs. Wright seriously planning to change her relationship with her own
protégé?"
Allen shrugged. "I have no idea! Normally, I'd say no way. But that punk kissed her just now, and not only did she
not push him away, she didn't even get angry..."
If Suzy was willing to be friends with Dylan, wasn't that essentially giving him a chance to get closer to her?
Allen prided himself on being the one who understood Suzy best, but right now, he was completely at a loss.
Could it be that everything he thought he knew was wrong?
As Elliot approached, the two quickly ducked out of sight, only sneaking back to eavesdrop once he was gone.
Inside, Dylan felt a pang of discomfort but kept his composure. After all, as Suzy's friend, he had no right to

Swallowing his frustration, he managed a faint smile. "I thought Diana might be back too, so | cto pick her
up.”
"Is that so?" Suzy had been expecting an outburst, but his restraint surprised her. Well, in that case...
"Sorry about earlier!" she said with a sly glint in her eye, curious to see just how much he could endure.
“No need to apologize. If anything, | should apologize for interrupting you," Dylan replied with a faint curl of his
lips.
"You're not wrong," Suzy said smoothly, playing along. "He's still waiting forin the room, so if you'll excuse
me..."
Dylan was speechless.
Enough was enough.
"He's your protégé, isn't he?" Dylan finally snapped, unable to hold it in any longer.
"That's right," Suzy said with a playful smile. "He has a point. We're just mentor and protégé, no family ties or
anything. Why shouldn't we be together? Besides, it's the modern era that

"Suzy..."
"Yes? What is it?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. 'Don't tellyou've got a problem with it. Don't forget, we're
just friends now. Who | choose to be with is my own business. It has nothing to do with you!"
Dylan was struck speechless.
This must be what it felt like to have words stuck in your throat, unable to say them. For all his usual confidence,
here he was, utterly silenced.
Despite having a mouth, he couldn't say anything he shouldn't—or anything he should, for that matter.
Never before had he felt so stifled. Not in front of anyone, not even Grace.
Regret welled up in him again. When she'd shown even the slightest willingness to reconcile before, he should
have seized the chance at all costs. By now, they could've been raising kids together, not stuck in this
humiliating situation.

it when he said things like this.
Dylan said nothing more as he turned his wheelchair around, heading for the door. But just as he reached it, he
abruptly spun back, wheeling himself swiftly toward Suzy.
Before she could react, he grabbed her wrist, pulling her into his lap. Without hesitation, he cupped her face in
his hands and kissed her.
It wasn't a deep kiss, just a fleeting touch, but it carried an undeniable possessiveness. With a commanding
tone, he declared, "You're mine, and mine
alone."
