Chapter 175
Chapter 175
Stephanie had just sent a message to Sebastian, to see if he was pissed.
Somehow, ever since she had met a guy, she would start to feel uneasy.
Even though she wasn’t really interested in them at all.
When Sebastian didn’t snap, she breathed a sigh of relief.
Then her phone buzzed. And when she checked the caller ID, it was Grace.
She thought for a moment, then hung up and blocked the number.
At this point, she had nothing to do with the Hart family, so she wouldn’t bother them anymore.
She despised meaningless small talk, especially from people who fancied themselves as her elders.
Before long, a number from a landline called, she figured it was probably from the Ashford family. So again, she
hung up and blocked the number.
When Allison’s call cthrough, she answered. “Allison.”
“The Harts are losing it,” Allison said.
“Let them lose it. Are they bothering you?” Stephanie replied.
“Yeah, they just wouldn't stop bugging me. The doctors seeing Olivia had changed in batch, and they just kept
bugging me.”
“It’s because it is so damn complicated, like several types of cancer?”
“The hospital said it was deteriorating and it’s really getting out of control.”
Raising an eyebrow, Stephanie remarked, “So, Olivia's on her last legs?”
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtWould she be alive to keep the 300 thousand dollars she bet with her?
What if she got so worked up and died!
“We don’t know if she’ll kick the bucket, but the Hart family and Chris are about to lose their minds.”
“Did they threaten you?”
Threats were just the Hart family and Chris's usual tactic.
From their previous act, they'd practically love to pin her down and squeeze the life out of her.
The word “threat” made Allison chuckle over the phone. “They wouldn't dare.”
“You're right.” Stephanie agreed.
How could she forget that Allison had Calvin Harlow, a man of modest means whom no one dared to provoke, to
back her
up.
No wonder Chris and the Hart family never dared cross her.
If they did, they’d never cto her.

“When are you coming back?”
“Calvin toldto stick around here for a while. I'm not heading back anytsoon”
“Man, you're really gonna drive Chris and the Harts’ up the wall.”
They were probably pining for Allison like kids waiting for a holiday, and now her endless delay was going to
drive them
crazy.
“If I don’t cback, will the Hart family make things though for you?”
Since Allison hadn't spoken with Ella on the phone yet, she didn’t know that Stephanie was now with Sebastian.
She was a bit worried that provoking the Hart family might end up costing Stephanie.
“Don’t worry. They're too weak to mess with me.”
“Alright then. If you need anything, just letknow.” Allison said.
As long as Stephanie didn’t get on the Hart family’s bad side, everything would be fine.
She despised the Hart family. She still remembered Mrs. Hart's smug attitude during the Pierce family’s downfall.
Talk about karma, now it was the Hart family who were in dire straits.
They chatted a little longer before hanging up.
Later, Stephanie called Ella. The moment Ella answered, she joked, “Having lunch with you again? Sebastian's
gonna have a bone to pick with me.”
A protective bro like him-who would dare keep trying to snatch his sister?
They'd probably end up facing his wrath!
“Don’t worry. He was busy all day.”
“That works.” Hearing that Sebastian would be swamped during the day, Ella finally agreed to meet Stephanie
for lunch.
Otherwise, she wouldn't dare to agree. She was afraid of Sebastian's retaliation.
Meanwhile, on Jackson's side.
They had waited a full half-hour for Elliot to show up.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmNever before in Long Harbor had anyone dared to make them wait like this, yet this time, neither Jackson nor
Landyn dared to utter a single word of complaint.
Elliot led them inside to what appeared to be a small, unassuming cafe.
As they made their way through the cafe, both Jackson and Landyn couldn't help but notice the presence of
numerous bodyguards lurking in the shadows.
“Did you see what those men had holstered at their waists?” Landyn asked in a hushed tone, leaning closer to
Jackson.
Jackson replied, “What do you think they were carrying?”
Landyn fell silent.

Guns, maybe?
No wonder Chris was getting the short end of the stick at Sebastian’s hands.
Sebastian was clearly the kind who wouldn't hesitate to pick his battles.
If he'd really wanted to, he could have wiped Chris off the map.
