Chapter 226
“Goddaughter, huh?” Odalyn raised an eyebrow, considering the suggestion. Actually it was great, but she
wondered if Elysia thought the sway.
She glanced at Elysia, her expression softening. “What do you think, sweetheart? Would you be okay with that?”.
Elysia smiled warmly. “I think it's perfect.” In her heart, she had already seen Odalyn as a mother figure, and the
Jacksons had always treated her like family. Becoming their goddaughter felt like the most natural step.
Odalyn’s face lit up with joy. From that moment on, she would have a daughter-beautiful, kind, and wise. It was
more than she could have hoped for.
Berenger, too, couldn't hide his delight. Logan had always been a handful, but this idea was pure gold.
The thought of having a daughter had been a distant dream, especially after Odalyn’s health issues had left
them with only one child. Now, with Elysia, it felt like a dream ctrue.
Logan stood by, beaming from ear to ear. He'd gone from cousin to big brother in the blink of an eye, and the
idea thrilled him. His parents should be thanking him-he’d just given them the daughter they'd always wanted.
Alyce; who had been hovering nervously by the door, finally relaxed. If only she had spotted that suspicious taxi
earlier, Elysia might never have been in danger.
Thank goodness Odalyn had been there to help. If anything had happened to Elysia, Alyce would have blamed
herself forever. But seeing how much everyone cared about her filled Alyce with a sense of relief and joy.
“Elysia, | heard you have three grandpas?” Odalyn asked, her curiosity piqued. “Are they in town?”
“Yeah, they're here,” Logan chimed in. “I ran into them yesterday.”
Odalyn nodded thoughtfully. “How about we go talk to them about this? They've raised you, and it’s only right to

Elysia nodded in agreement. She knew her grandpas’ approval was important. If they didn’t agree, she would
respect their wishes. It was a small gesture, but it meant the world to her to honor the men who had shaped her
life.
“Invite Jack, Max, and Leo here. Right away,” Elysia instructed, her tone carrying an air of quiet authority.
“Yes, Boss,” Alyce replied, disappearing down the hallway with purpose.
Berenger and Odalyn stood rooted to the spot, their minds reeling. Had they heard that correctly? Elysia, their
goddaughter, was the “Boss“? The word seemed to echo in the silence, loaded with implications.
Logan, who had been observing their stunned expressions with a hint of smugness, felt a sense of vindication.
He’d known Elysia’s secret for a while, and seeing their shock was oddly satisfying. After all, he'd been just as
floored when he first found
out,
But before he could elaborate, Berenger’s eyes widened as realization dawned. “Wait a minute,” he said, his
voice tinged with disbelief. “You're not just staying at Arcanum House, are you? You're the owner, aren’t you?”
Odalyn’s eyes flew open, the pieces clicking into place. She looked at Elysia, waiting for an answer.
They had assumed Elysia was there for treatment or perhaps a quiet retreat last time. Then her staying there
made them think she might be a friend of the owner or something.
But the idea that she was the owner of the legendary Arcanum House was something they'd never even
considered. And everything clicked now.

Elysia met their gazes with calm composure. “Did | scare you?” she asked, her tone light, but the truth was
unmistakable,
The room fell silent as the weight of her revelation settled over them. They had just accepted the owner of
Arcanum House as their goddaughter. The absurdity of it all was almost too much to take in.
Odalyn’s knees buckled, and she nearly collapsed. Elysia’s quick reflexes saved her from hitting the floor.
“Odalyn, are you okay?” she asked, her voice filled with concern.
“No... no, I'm fine. Just givea second,” Odalyn muttered, her face pale.
“Mom, seriously, you've got to pull yourself together,” Berenger said, shaking his head. “I took the news way
better than you
two.”
“So you knew all along?” he pressed, turning to Logan, his eyes narrowing. He'd sensed something was off in the
taxi, but he never imagined Logan was keeping such a huge secret.
Odalyn furrowed her brow as well. If she remembered correctly, she had specifically asked Logan if there was
anything he was keeping from them. He confidently assured her that he wasn’t hiding anything. And clearly, he
was.
Logan shifted uncomfortably under their gazes. “Look, I'm sorry. | just wanted to respect her wishes. She's the
one who decides when to share her secrets.”
Berenger and Odalyn exchanged a glance, then let it go. Logan had a point. It was Elysia’s decision to make,
after all.
As the tension eased, Elysia felt a wave of warmth wash over her. The Jacksons were truly a remarkable family-
caring, understanding, and fiercely loyal.
Except for Bella, of course. She'd never felt like part of the family. In fact, Elysia sometimes wondered how
someone as honest and kind as Berenger could have a sister like Bella.
Elysia gently took Odalyn’s arm as they entered the Arcanum House. The group had barely settled into the foyer
when Jack's hearty laugh echoed from the doorway. “Elysia, | heard we've got more guests?” he called out, his
voice filled with warmth.
At the sound, everyone turned to see Jack leading two other men into the room. Leo, grinning from ear to ear,
followed closely behind. “This place has been busier than a beehive lately. Not complaining, though,” he said
with a chuckle.
In the past, Elysia had always seemed a bit too quiet, with few friends and always tagging along behind the older
generation. But her recent trip to Sivro had changed everything. She’d met so many new people.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmBerenger quickly stepped forward, bowing slightly. “You must be Elysia’s grandfather?” he asked, his tone
respectful.
Jack nodded, his eyes twinkling. “That's me. I'm Jack. And these are my other buddies, Leo and Max,” he said,
gesturing to the men beside him.
“I've been meaning to visit for ages,” Berenger explained, his voice tinged with sincerity. “I just happened to be
in Sivro and thought it was the perfect tto finally drop by. Elysia and | talked about it, and here we are.”
Berenger then introduced Odalyn with a gesture. “This is my wife, Odalyn, Elysia’s aunt when she was with us,
and | was her uncle.”
The three men exchanged glances, their brows furrowing in unison. But when their eyes landed on Logan, who
stood nearby with a quiet presence, their expressions softened.
They remembered questioning him the last tthey'd seen him. With Elysia’s assurance, they had cto
trust him, believing he was different from the rest of the Rosewood family.
Seeing the warmth between him, Elysia, and the others, and knowing Logan was their son, they concluded that
these two must treat Elysia well.

After reaching this conclusion, Jack and the others visibly relaxed, their gazes toward Berenger and Odalyn
becoming much friendlier.
“Take a seat,” Jack said, pointing to a chair nearby.
