Chapter 125 stunning
Silas was right. | had no reason to be scared of meeting them. They are all so nice and understand what | have
been through. | thought that they would feel offended by how they were wiped away from my memory, but | was
wrong. When Silas first rang the doorbell, a girl with black hair opened the door for us. She introduced herself as
Sabrina. When | heard her name, | remembered what Silas toldabout her. Sabrina and | have the smajor
and we have grown very close over the past year. | know that she is dating Knox, Silas's best friend. They met
when | invited her once to one of the gatherings held at the team's house. She toldthat she wanted to visit
him the green light that | was finally ready to meet them. "Can | ask you something?" | ask her as we're sitting in
the backyard. Currently, the guys are in charge of the barbecue. They, apparently, know that | don't eat meat
except for hotdogs, 'so they already have chicken breasts for me. This is very thoughtful of them. "Of course,"
she says, looking at me. "How was | with Silas before the accident? | mean... were we in love?" | hesitantly ask.
My question seems to take her by surprise, but | want to know how we were from somebody other than Silas.
Maybe if I hear about our relationship from another point of view | will be able to remember anything.
| know it hasn't been long since | was last discharged from the hospital, but it's so hard to live with no memory of
the last two years of your life. I'm tired of not remembering the people around me.
"You were really in love. Silas doesn't just love you, Rosie. He practically worships you. If he can make all your
wishes ctrue, he will do it in a heartbeat. He is never embarrassed of showing affection to you in public. He
is proud to be your boyfriend and is very protective of you," she tells me. I'm dying to remember all that she's
tellingabout. | want to remember this version of us. "Was | in love with him?" | ask, drawing invisible shapes
with the tip of my fingers on my thigh.
"You do know that you guys used to fake date before you started to actually date, right?" | nod at her words.
"And did he tell you about the fight you two had because of Everest?" Again, | nod. "After your fight, Silas started
to pull himself away because he thought that it would | be the right thing to do. He wanted to give you space,
but you hated every second of it, Rosie. You wanted to get back to how you two were. You were so ready to do
anything to get that back." This is my first tlearning anything about this. Silas did tellabout our fight
because of Everest- who hasn't arrived yet, by the way- but he didn't tellanything about how we spent some
tapart. How would he have known about what | had done during that time?
"Did | do anything about that?" | wonder.
We
we were studying together and you texted him after we talked about him. I think your heart got broken that
night, because when he cover and you two talked, he told you that he wanted to set sboundaries
between the two of you and he said that he was going to keep his distance once the two months you had left in
the fake-dating deal end," she givesmore details. "What brought us close?" | frown. It looks like our
relationship is really interesting

good to finally see you," Everest says with a huge sinile on his face as he stands in front of me.

"You're still hurt. You don't need to stand up," he tells me, taking a seat beside me. "I was so worried about you,
Rosie. I'm glad you're okay."
"Thank you. | can't believe | got out of that accident alive. | don't really remember how bad it was, but | saw the

"I don't think there's anything anybody can do for me. | just need to wait for my memory to cback," | tell
him.
"I know how important it is for you to get your memory, but maybe you just need to let it be for you. Why don't
you keep yourself busy with making new memories?" he suggests.
For
the past few days, | have felt like | have been stuck in a circle. | wake up every day, have breakfast, try to force
myself to remember anything, have lunch, try to squeeze my brain again to generate any memory, have dinner,
head to my room and again, keep thinking about those two years | remember nothing about.
"That sounds like a a good idea," | say, looking at him. Something about Everest seems intriguing and | find
myself desiring to know more about him. "We don't have the smajor, right?" | ask.
"No, but we both take marketing as a minor," he replies. "Do | strike you as someone who majors in fashion?" He
smirks and | giggle, shaking my head.

I'm attracted to him scared me. | have a boyfriend and | shouldn't feel like that towards anyone. Well, Silas and |
aren't exactly dating now, but we haven't officially b broken up. I guess this is the definition of a break.
| know that everything between Silas andis not that clear and he is givingthe space | asked for, but we
haven't officially broken up. I'm a loyal person and | can never cheat on him as long as he's somehow my
boyfriend.
"Rosie." | turn around to look at Silas when he calls my name. | look at him with a small smile when he stands
behind me. "Are you doing okay?" he asks, kissing the top of my head.
"Yeah, | have been talking to Everest and Sabrina," I tell him. The way Silas looks atmakesfeel guilty. His
eyes hold a lot of adoration and love that | cannot believe are for me. | can't believe that Silas, the one | have
known for years and used to bicker nonstop with, is my boyfriend who lovesunconditionally.
Why can't | love him the sway?
"Hi Everest," Silas acknowledges him, then turns his attention back to me. "Are you hungry?" He brings himself

"Thanks, man." Knox is the first to thank him and soon a chorus of thanks follows. I look at Silas and notice how
his voice is almost m***d as he mutters the word. He really doesn't like him. "Why don't we play charades after
we're done eating?" Sabrina suggests.
"Are we gonna be divided into two teams?" Natalie asks.
"You know it's always better when there's competition," Karl says as he takes spotato chips and places them
on his plate.
"ls it
it something you usually do?" Everest wonders, looking at the guys.
"Yes, that's how we usually spend our twhenever there's a gathering." Justin answers him. "Sometimes we
throw pool parties, too."
"Oh wow," Everest lets out a t a short chuckle that earns everybody's attention.
"What?" Silas asks, looking at
him.
"It's just... you guys are football players. Shouldn't you be into partying, getting drunk, and hooking up with
girls?" Sabrina looks at him like he has grown two heads.
"That's wrong on so many levels." She shakes her head. "I think you need to let go of your stereotypical
mindset."
"I second her opinion," Silas chimes in.
"Have | played charades before with you guys?" | quickly change the subject, not wanting to have any tension in
the atmosphere.
| have a feeling that Everest doesn't really belong with this group.
