car first.

Kairi then took the front passenger seat, while Zayne drove the car himself.

As the car hummed to life, Zayne turned to his father, Lord Banks, who sat in the back seat and said “Dad, to be

honest, Kairi’s right arm has completely recovered.”

“Completely recovered?” Lord Banks’s eyes widened and he blurted out, “You mean to say that her severed arm

has grown back?”

“Yes,” Zayne nodded, “It’s true.

This is a remarkable situation, but luckily, Kairi has been away from Aurous Hill all these years, so not many people

know about it.

I fear that if this news gets out, it could cause trouble.

Please don’t mention it to anyone.”

Lord Banks was incredulous as he asked, “How is that even possible? I’ve never heard of any medical technology

“What?” Lord Banks’s mind went blank for a moment, “Xion is already a five-star warrior? But wasn’t the Old

Zayne nodded, “Charlie’s guidance has been a great advantage.

He hung his head in shame and spoke in a low voice, “I almost killed Deana and I nearly killed Zara too.

I’ve been feeling guilty about them for a long time.

Could you ask them for me?”

everything away from him, he had a change of heart.

As he grew older, he couldn’t shake off the weight of his past actions.

He wanted nothing more than to make amends and receive forgiveness from his children and grandchildren.

He saw attending Zayne’s wedding as a chance to seek redemption.

After a brief silence, Lord Banks looked at Zayne with a spark of curiosity, “By the way, Zayne, who’s officiating

your wedding with Kairi?”

“The officiant?” Zayne pondered for a moment, “We didn’t plan on having one and we only invited our families to

keep it simple.

Xion arranged for a well-known host from Eastcliff to be the master of ceremonies.

The thought of having an officiant didn’t even cross our minds.”

Lord Banks listened intently and then made a suggestion, “You should ask Charlie if he’s willing to officiate your

wedding.”

“Charlie?” Zayne looked unsure, “Dad, it’s not that I have anything against him, but usually, people ask elders or

leaders to officiate their wedding.

It’s not common to ask a younger person like him.”

“Younger person?” Lord Banks chuckled, “Do you think we’re in any position to talk about seniority with Charlie?

Even if you call him ‘uncle,’ you’re still overstepping your boundaries!”
