Charlie couldn’t contain his excitement and asked Julian, “How did your parents manage to get past the monitoring

at Warriors Den and get in touch with you?”

Julian took a deep breath before answering, “As far as my dad tells it, he wasn’t the most skilled fighter in the

camp, but he had a way with people.

He gained the trust of the camp’s leader and ended up having two kids with my mom during their ten years

there…”

Charlie replied, “They were college classmates.

I think she was my uncle’s first girlfriend.”

Julian nodded again, “It’s very possible that Warriors Den arranged for more than a dozen girls with different

backgrounds, identities and even races to pursue your third uncle at the same time.

They’re capable of pulling off that kind of thing.”

Charlie was taken aback for a moment, but quickly composed himself.

At first glance, what Julian suggested might seem like a crowd mobilization tactic, but it was actually the most

foolproof method.

At the time, the only unmarried member of the Evans family was Charlie’s third uncle.

If Warriors Den wanted to infiltrate the Evans family, he would be the most vulnerable point of entry and their only

chance.

Sending just the third aunt would be risky if she failed, the mission would be a bust.

The best approach was to arrange a group of girls from different backgrounds and walks of life, all of them

innocent and desirable and had them approach the third uncle one after another. As long as one of them

Charlie was in awe of Julian’s cunning.

“Uncle Davis, are your parents still in Saudi Arabia?” he asked.

Julian nodded.

“Yep, they’re still there and they’re doing great.

They always complete their tasks flawlessly, so they’re trusted by Warriors Den.

My dad never even thought about leaving Warriors Den.

He just wanted to get in touch with me when he saw my news.

He didn’t do anything to betray Warriors Den, so he’s always been safe,” Julian explained.

Charlie was curious hearing at the explanation.

“Is your dad a diehard loyalist of Warriors Den, or was he forced to stay because of the poison?” he asked.

Julian explained, “The main reason is the poison and my younger brother and sister and still haven’t found a cure.

If they leave Warriors Den and don’t get the antidote supply, they’ll die within two weeks.

Plus, based on Warriors Den’s usual practices, if my parents were to betray the organization, my younger brother

and sister would be executed immediately.

So even if they wanted to leave, they wouldn’t be able to.”

Charlie nodded and asked, “What about you and your parents? Have you seen each other in the past ten years?”

“No,” Julian replied, “I once suggested meeting them during a business trip to Saudi Arabia.

I even offered to dine at their restaurant incognito, but my dad refused.

He said that even though he hadn’t done anything wrong, if he was caught, it would be assumed he had leaked

information.

He, my mom, my younger brother and sister would all be executed as a warning to others.

So for the past ten years, we’ve only been able to communicate through my blog.”

Charlie thought about telling Julian about the antidote he had, but he realized that even if his parents were cured of

the poison, his younger siblings would still be under the control of Warriors Den.

It was just a pipe dream to try and persuade his parents.

If his parents had no intention of leaving the organization, detoxifying them would be unnecessary and it might

even expose them.

So he said to Julian, “If your parents ever decide to leave Warriors Den, you can contact me.”

Julian nodded, but with a wry smile, he said, “I don’t think that’s possible.

Leaving Warriors Den would mean not only their death but also the death of my younger brother and sister.”

Charlie agreed, “That’s how Warriors Den controls its members.

Most people won’t be able to escape, but there can always be exceptions.

If they do decide to leave, I might not be able to help your younger siblings, but I can help them.”

Julian was taken aback.

He wanted to ask Charlie how he could help his parents, but he realized it wasn’t appropriate to pry, so he simply

thanked him “I’ll keep that in mind, thank you!”

Charlie asked again, “Did your parents tell you anything about Warriors Den?”

Julian pondered for a moment before suddenly recalling something, “Actually, my dad mentioned a few days ago

that there might be a chance for our family to break free from Warriors Den and regain our freedom.”

Charlie frowned, “What chance?”

“It’s related to finding a girl,” Julian replied, “Whether it’s a dead soldier, a Cavalry guard, or a Dark Master from

Warriors camp, if you find that girl, the whole family can be freed.”

Charlie’s mind immediately went to Maria, who had been accidentally rescued in Northern Europe.
