Desmond urged, “Dad, you need to rest and recover in the villa.

experience, do you think my nephew would go back to that old house after all these years? And if we start from
there, do you think we can find any relevant clues?”
Jack nodded in agreement.
“It’s possible that Charlie would go back to the old house.
People are emotional beings and many suspects who escaped were caught when they went back home or

Desmond interjected, “However, it’s been twenty years.

as he could accomplish that, his mission would be completed.
Desmond suddenly asked, “By the way, Jack, have you ever thought about investigating the benefactor who saved
your life?”
Jack was taken aback.
“I have no idea where my benefactor is.
Even if I want to find him, I don’t have any leads.”
Desmond shook his head.
“That’s not entirely true.
The benefactor is in Aurous Hill!”
Jack was curious.
“What do you mean, Desmond?”
Desmond explained, “Remember the Rejuvenation Pill auction that I participated in at Aurous Hill? Well, after our
family was attacked in New York and we were rescued by the benefactor’s medicine, I realized that the person who
refined the Rejuvenation Pill and the person who saved you and Evan’s family might be the same!”
Jack was surprised.
“Wait, are you saying that the benefactor is in Aurous Hill?”
Desmond replied, “I don’t know if he’s in Aurous Hill, but there’s someone in Aurous Hill who knows him.
Her name is Jasmine Moore and she’s from the Moore family.”
Jack furrowed his brow in confusion.
“Jasmine Moore? Who is she?”
Desmond clarified, “The Moore family was one of the organizers of the Rejuvenation Pill auction and Jasmine is the
owner of the family.
She was also the auctioneer of the event! All these clues seem to connect to the benefactor.

Jack felt uneasy and hesitated, “Desmond, the benefactor has a lot of power.
If he doesn’t want to reveal his identity, is it appropriate for us to investigate him right?”
Desmond agreed, “You’re right, Jack.

But my sister and brother-in-law were killed in Aurous Hill, my nephew disappeared here and now the benefactor’s
clues are leading us here.

Jack hesitantly suggested, “Do you think the benefactor could be your nephew?”
Desmond dismissed the idea, “That’s unlikely.
I think it’s more plausible that he just happened to save him.”
Jack coughed, “Don’t jump to conclusions.
That sounds like a plot from a martial arts .
Besides, the benefactor isn’t even related to your family.
Why would he save your nephew 20 years ago in Aurous Hill and then come to the United States to save your
family and me after all these years?”
Desmond felt embarrassed, “You’re right.
It doesn’t make sense.
But the fact remains that he saved our family.
I want to visit Jasmine and see if she knows anything that can help us, even if she can’t tell us anything directly,
maybe she can help me relay a message to the benefactor.”
