Chapter 191 Zeke vividly remembered the wounds scattered across Millie's back weeks ago. She'd told him she asked her boyfriend to inflict those wounds on her, but now he was sure she was lying.
The thought of that bastard doing it to her again right now sent fury coursing through his veins along with an overwhelming surge of panic.
Without a second thought, Zeke sprinted towards his car. He drove like a madman, and within minutes, he was pulling up in front of Millie's flat.
Getting out, he hurried to the door. saw the doorbell, but ringing it was the last thing on his mind. With one powerful stomp, the door flew back, and he stormed into the house.
His blood ran like lava as he took in the scene before him. Millie was crouched in a corner, crying and begging as her boyfriend repeatedly struck her on the back with the buckle of a belt.

"What the " Francis began to exclaim in surprise, but a hard punch to the mouth silenced him with a groan of pain.
"You. Stupid. Bastard. How. Dare. You. Lay. Your. Hands. On. Millie. How. Fucking. Dare. You." Each word was punctuated by a punch. He could hear Millie screaming for him to stop, but his fury couldn't be tamed.
"Zeke, stop! You're going to kill him! Please stop it." Millie screamed, stepping closer.
Suddenly, she let out a groan, making Zeke realize he had hit her in the process. That finally snapped him out of his rage. He quickly got off Francis and hurried to Millie.
"Fuck, I'm so sorry. Are you okay?" "Yes," she said shakily, her eyes drifting towards her boyfriend.
Francis groaned as he sat up, blood dripping from his mouth and nose, staining his shirt.
"You're going to regret this," he growled.
Zeke glowered down at him, so damn tempted to pounce on him again, but he controlled himself as he wrapped an arm around Millie.
"I'm getting you out of here." Without waiting for her to respond, he led her out of the house.
"She's going to crunning back to me, you idiot!" Francis screamed, his voice filled with certainty despite the pain he was obviously in.
Outside, just as Zeke was leading Millie to his car, she suddenly stopped, shaking her head frantically. "No, I can't leave. I have to go back." Zeke stared at her. "What? That man was abusing you, Millie. There's no way in hell I'm letting you go back to him.'ll take you from here by force if have to," he growled.

The whole drive to his house, Zeke remained fuming, glancing at Millie every few seconds. But she stayed still, her eyes fixed on her lap as if she couldn't look at him.

"Con, let's go inside." he said, reaching his hand out to her.
That was when the panic returned to her face. "No, Zeke. Please takeback. I can't... I beg you. I have to go back." More than shocked, Zeke was utterly confused. "Why would you want to go back to a man like that, Millie? man who hurts you so much. And don't tellyou ask him to dout to you because I know that's alb bullshit."
He was baffled. Years ago, Millie had been the no-nonsense type of m woman Why had she put up with this? Did she love that scumbag that much? Millie shook her head frantically. "You... you don't understand, Zeke. I can't leave him. I can't. You don't understand." Slowly, Zeke crouched to her level, looking into her tear-filled eyes. "Then helpunderstand, Millie." Her lips parted, then closed. For a moment, Zeke thought she wasm going to speak, but she finally shut her mouth, shaking her head again. "You can tell me, Millie," Zeke urged gently.
