Chapter 117 Flora Is Missing The next morning, Tiffany woke up bright and early. She hadn't left the Cooper Mansion the night before, so after breakfast, she headed out with Leon.
Little did they know, Bronte was lurking nearby as soon as they stepped out.
Bronte had planned to wait for the three kids at school, but she realized last night that Tiffany hadn't taken them back to the villa. She had a feeling Tiffany was being extra careful.
Bronte kicked herself for spilling too much in front of Tiffany, accidentally giving away a lot. But she had made a promise to someone to get this done, so she decided to take matters into her own hands.
To avoid getting spotted by the Cooper Family, Bronte disguised herself in a mascot costand wandered around for a while.
Her patience paid off when she finally spotted Flora.
Flora was alone in the garden, picking flowers.
Bronte, dressed in the mascot costand holding a bunch of balloons, strolled by on purpose.
Flora was intrigued by the funky balloon shapes and walked over to Bronte, gently tapping the costume.
"Excuse me, how much for a balloon?" Flora asked in her sweet voice.
"Five bucks each, kiddo," Bronte replied, trying to mask her voice.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtFlora nodded and smiled. "Can you save three for me?" "No problem," Bronte said, feeling triumphant. She hadn't expected Flora to fall for it so easily.
Flora then said, "Please wait, I'll go get the money." With that, she ran back to the living room.
On the way, Flora almost bumping into the bodyguards outside the door, and giggled.
"Do you want swater?" Flora asked kindly, remembering that the bodyguards had been standing outside since last night.
The bodyguards, charmed by Flora's cuteness, shook their heads, indicating they weren't thirsty.
"Okay then," Flora said. She went to the living room, took out her small wallet from her backpack, and counted the money.
Seeing Flora heading out again, one of the bodyguards gently stopped her and asked, "Ms. Cooper, where are you going?" Flora pointed to the mascot outside the garden. "I'm just going to buy sballoons. I won't go far." The bodyguards looked in the direction Flora pointed. It wasn't a blind spot, so they let her go.
Flora ran to Bronte, ready to take the balloons, when a hand emerged from the costand sprayed something in her face. She passed out before she could react, dropping the money she was holding.
Bronte emerged from the costume, using it to block the bodyguards' view, and quickly carried Flora away. Two minutes later, the bodyguards noticed the mascot hadn't moved and had its back to them for too long. Buying a balloon shouldn't take this long. They exchanged worried glances, their faces turning serious. They ran to the mascot, finding Flora's dropped money and the empty costume.
Flora was gone! "Have you found her yet?" Ronald gripped his cane, looking extremely worried. The bodyguards shook their heads.
Sam and Barry couldn't stay in the living room any longer and wanted to go out to search for Flora, but Ronald stopped them. "Sam, Barry, Flora is missing. You can't get into trouble too." "Great-grandpa, if we don't find her soon, she'll be in even more danger," Sam said, tears welling up. He had promised to protect Flora, but he wasn't there when it mattered. He regretted sleeping in.
"Flora must be so scared. Great-grandpa, who took her?" Barry asked, his eyes red and voice hoarse.

He had only taken his eyes off Flora for a moment, and now she was gone! "Have you contacted Leon?" Ronald asked the bodyguards.
"We tried, but Mr. Cooper didn't answer. His secretary didn't pick up either. He must be in an important meeting. We'll have to wait until the meeting ends for him to respond." They knew Leon had a strict rule about not checking his phone during meetings, especially important ones.
Ronald asked again, "What about Tiffany? Any news from her?" Sam showed his watch, which displayed several missed calls. "Mom's been on the phone. I couldn't get through," he said.
Ronald trembled, his lips quivering, as he prayed that Flora would be safe.
"Don't just stand there. Keep searching and send someone to the company to stop the meeting! Get Leon back here!" "Yes, Mr. Cooper," the bodyguards replied.
As soon as they left, Ronald felt his heart struggling. He clutched his chest, nearly losing his breath, his face turning pale.
"Great-grandpa!" Sam and Barry quickly helped him sit down, and Damon brought a glass of water.
Ronald drank the water, his color improving slightly. He held Sam and Barry's hands, his eyes red. "Sam, Barry, be good and stay here. Don't go out." They nodded, holding Ronald's hands and staying with him. Meanwhile, Tiffany was driving, rushing to the preschool.

When Sam's call went unanswered, Tiffany had been on the phone with Bronte.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmBronte told Tiffany she had taken Flora to the preschool rooftop.
When the preschool teachers heard the news, they were terrified and m immediately called the police. They also notified the children's families to pick them up to prevent further incidents. When the principal, Lana Thorne, learned that Flora was the one taken, she nearly fainted.
Why was it always Flora? Last time, someone had pushed her down the stairs at the preschool. Now, she was being held hostage on the rooftop.
Lana's heart couldn't take it.
Most importantly, Flora was Leon's daughter! If anything happened to her at the preschool, Lana couldn't bear Leon's wrath.
Thankfully, Tiffany arrived quickly.
Seeing her, Lana felt a glimmer of hope. "Miss Grey, Flora is on the top floor. The police should be here soon. I wanted to go up and check, but the kidnapper wouldn't let us near. She insisted on waiting for you and said you had to go up alone. We don't know Flora's condition." Lana was so anxious she was trembling. She held Tiffany's hand, which was ice-cold.
"Flora will be fine, Lana. I'm sorry for the trouble." "Don't say that, Miss Grey. Please be careful." Lana was worried about Tiffany's safety and reminded her to be cautious.
Tiffany nodded, her eyes determined as she headed inside.
On the rooftop, Flora had woken up. Bronte had dragged her to the edge, where a slight misstep could send her over. Flora's eyes were red, and she was on the verge of tears.
"If you cry, I'll throw you over right now!" Bronte threatened, grabbing Flora's ear. Flora was so scared she didn't dare cry out in pain, only whimpering softly.
