Chapter 138 The Little Girl from the Orphanage Tiffany knew that every orphanage had its own unique badge for the kids.

She had set up a foundation just for these kids and had poured in a ton of money. The orphanage directors would even send her videos to say thanks.

In those videos, the kids would gather together, each with a badge on their chest, and every orphanage had a different one.

So Tiffany was curious about which orphanage the little girl cfrom.

She hadn't seen this badge before, which meant it wasn't from an orphanage she knew.

She stayed by the little girl's side, waiting for the ambulance to show up.

When the ambulance finally arrived, Tiffany thought it was quite a coincidence.

It was from the hospital where Leon worked.

She drove behind the ambulance, following it until the little girl was taken into the operating room. Tiffany waited outside.

Not long after, Sophia and Emery showed up with Tiffany's kids, looking worried.

"Tiffany, are you okay? I heard there was an accident nearby, and I saw a video online. When I clicked on it, I saw your car. Did you get hurt? Letcheck if you're injured." Sophia pulled Tiffany around, checking her for injuries but found none.

Tiffany smiled and held her hand, explaining, "It wasn'tin the accident..." She then told them what had happened, and they all breathed a sigh of relief.

"You scared me, Tiffany." Emery patted her chest.

When she heard the accident involved Tiffany, she was almost in tears.

"Mommy, is that little girl okay? Will she blyou when she wakes up?" Barry frowned, walking over to hold Tiffany's hand.

Tiffany knelt down in front of him, ruffling his hair, and smiled, "Mommy didn't run a red light, so it's not my fault. The little girl isn't seriously hurt, don't worry." As she spoke, she gently tapped Barry's nose with her finger.

Another ten minutes passed, and the operating room door opened. The little girl was lying on a hospital bed, being pushed out by a nurse.

She was wrapped in bandages, and all her wounds had been treated.

The doctor removed his mask and handed Tiffany the medical report and the bill, sighing.

"Miss Grey, this child isn't in critical condition, but we need to contact her parents. She seems to have been severely traumatized and has old injuries from prolonged abuse. Besides the injuries from the accident, she has many old wounds, and her right hand has a minor fracture." Tiffany was shocked. The little girl was only about six or seven years old. How could she have such severe injuries? "She might be from an orphanage. As for those injuries, we might need to ask the orphanage director." Tiffany thought of the badge and mentioned it to the doctor.

"Alright, I'll contact the orphanages to see if any child is missing." Tiffany nodded. As the doctor was about to leave, she called out, "Can I take care of her in the meantime? After all, I accidentally hit her." "No problem, but she needs a quiet environment. I'm afraid she might be startled when she wakes up." After the doctor's instructions, Tiffany and the others followed the nurse to take the little girl to a room. Once the nurse left, Flora carefully leaned over the bed, her big eyes blinking as she stared at the little girl. "Mommy, this girl looks so thin. She doesn't have any chubby cheeks." Flora said, poking her own chubby cheeks for comparison.

Tiffany walked over and sat down, gently tidying the little girl's messy hair.

"Flora, she might have been hungry for a long tand hasn't had enough to eat. When she wakes up, would you be willing to share your snacks with her?" "Yes!" Flora raised her little hand high, and Tiffany smiled with relief.

She wanted to talk to Flora because of what the doctor had said.

The little girl probably didn't feel safe and wouldn't trust adults easily.

But if there was a girl around the sage, she might not be so guarded.

Then, Tiffany saw the little girl's clothes on the table and took the badge to show Sophia.

"Sophia, can you ask Steven to help find out which orphanage this child is from? The hospital might not be able to find out quickly." "Sure, leave it to me. Steven just messagedthat he's nearby. I'll go find him and ask in person. Once he finds out, I'll let you know, Tiffany," Sophia said, taking the badge with her.

The others stayed in the room. Tiffany carefully checked the little girl's injuries again and found sparticularly severe wounds that looked like they were caused by a stick.

Emery cover to Tiffany, looking at the frail little girl, and couldn't help but say, "Who could be so cruel to hurt a child like this?" Tiffany then said something that shocked Emery.

"If the little girl really ran away from an orphanage, it means the person who beat her is the orphanage director. After all, even if she fought with other kids, it wouldn't be this severe." Emery's eyes widened, and she took a step back in fear.

"Tiffany, but aren't orphanages supposed to take in children without parents? How could they do something so terrible?" "It's just a possibility. Now I regret telling the doctor she's from an orphanage." Emery still couldn't believe it, but Tiffany understood. What she said was just a guess. Whether it was true or not, they had to wait for the little girl to wake up.

"Mommy, Emery! The little girl is waking up!" Flora had been watching the little girl closely, so she noticed immediately when the girl woke up.

But when Flora spoke, it scared the little girl.

She opened her eyes, clutching the blanket tightly, looking at them with fear.

Sam and Barry approached to talk to her, but the little girl becmore frightened, covering her head with the blanket and trembling.

"Leavealone! Don't cany closer." The little girl's voice was n tearful, clearly terrified of the two En? boys. Sam and Barry exchanged a glance and took a few steps back.

Tiffany cover to Flora, handing her a lollipop, and smiled, "Elora, can you share the lollipop with her now?" "Sure." Flora smiled sweetly, climbing onto the bed and scooting over to the little girl.

Hearing the movement, the little girl still didn't cout. Flora gently lifted a corner of the blanket.

"Don't be afraid. We're not bad people. Do you want this lollipop?" Flora's soft voice made the little girl feel a bit safer.

The little girl slowly lowered the blanket, her eyes filled with confusion as she staredes filled as she stared at Flora for a while. "My nis Flora. What's your name?" "I... I'm..." The little girl was about to speak when a loud thunderclap startled her. She curled up, hugging her knees.

"Don't hit me... I'm sorry, Director Scott."
