Chapter 146 Killing Tiffany Miguel was fuming. He spotted the fruit knife on the coffee table, grabbed it without a second thought, and lunged at Ralph.
"Enough!" The study door flew open, and Derek stormed in, stopping Miguel in his tracks.
Miguel took a deep breath, threw the fruit knife at Ralph's feet, and shot him a death glare. Then he turned to face Derek and Vera, who were standing in the doorway.
"Dad, Mom, we can't just let this jerk off the hook. If it weren't for him helping Tiffany and showing them the orphanage basement, we wouldn't be in this mess!" Miguel yelled, barely holding himself back from actually stabbing Ralph.
"And what good would killing him do? Are you trying to make things worse?" Derek snapped, and Miguel fell silent.
Vera quickly jumped in to defend Miguel, trying to calm Derek down.
"Honey, Miguel's just thinking about our company, about the Larson family. This is all Ralph's fault. If he hadn't been helping Tiffany, none of this would have happened. We've been too soft on him!" Vera's eyes were filled with disdain and anger as she berated Ralph.
Derek said nothing, slowly walking over to Ralph, his cold eyes locking onto him.
"Explain yourself. Why did you do it?" Derek demanded.
Ralph, recovering, spat out a mouthful of blood.
"Herbert kidnapped Tiffany's daughter first. Even if I hadn't exposed it, Tiffany would have found out eventually." Ralph spoke the truth. He knew Tiffany was resourceful. Even if she couldn't find out herself, she would have someone investigate. The orphanage's actions couldn't be hidden forever.
Ralph had initially helped Tiffany, hoping she would be grateful. But he hadn't expected her to cut ties with him in the end.

Ralph didn't speak or dodge, a red handprint quickly appearing on his cheek.
He knew that with the orphanage's exposure, the Larson Corporation was facing its biggest crisis. But the more chaotic things got, the more it could work in his favor. For now, he just had to endure.
"Dad, let's not waste twith him. Since the police are almost here, we should hand Ralph over. Let him take the fall for everything. The Larson Corporation won't be too deeply implicated." Miguel had already decided to make Ralph the scapegoat, suggesting it to Derek as the best solution. Someone had to bear the consequences.
But Derek didn't respond to Miguel's suggestion.
The police weren't fools. They would know that such a large operation couldn't have been orchestrated by Ralph alone.
However, Derek had another plan in mind.
"Tiffany... It seems she's quite clever. If Leon wakes up and she stays by his side, she'll still be a problem. Find someone to..." Derek muttered Tiffany's name, a murderous glint in his eyes.
He didn't finish his sentence, but everyone understood his meaning.
Derek wanted Tiffany dead.
Ralph's face turned pale, and he shouted, "Dad, you can't harm Tiffany!" "Do you think you have the right to say anything to me?" Derek glared at him, his anger barely contained.
"If the Larson family goes down, Tiffany's going down with us!" "Ralph, don't even think about warning her. You're staying here on your knees!" Derek barked, not sparing Ralph another glance, and headed back to the study.
He needed to contact other company heads to see if they could help save the Larson Corporation.
Miguel was thrilled. It was the first the had seen Ralph so helpless.

A sense of unease gnawed at Tiffany, as if something terrible was about to happen. "Mommy, are you feeling unwell?" Flora reached out her small hand to touch Tiffany's forehead, her little face full of concern.
Flora had woken up and cto Leon's room with her brothers to be with Tiffany.

"Mommy, you need to rest. The doctor said Daddy will wake up, so you can't wear yourself out." Sam pressed his little face against Tiffany's, standing on tiptoe to reach her.

Tiffany looked at her three children, feeling deeply comforted.
Having them by her side was all she needed.
As long as Leon woke up, everything she wished for would be complete.
Tiffany hugged her children tightly, a smile of relief on her lips.
They stayed together for the rest of the night.
The children stayed with Tiffany until the early hours, eventually falling asleep. Sophia and Emery helped carry them to the next room to rest, while Tiffany remained by Leon's side. When Tiffany returned to Leon's room, it had started raining outside, with occasional thunder. Tiffany worried that Molly might be scared and considered checking on her downstairs.
But as she reached the door, she saw a masked doctor approaching with a syringe ah@avial of medication. "I'm here to change the medication," the doctor spoke in a low voice, avoiding eye contact with Tiffany.
Tiffany found it odd. She didn't recognize this doctor...
But her suspicion didn't last long. She let the doctor in, but as he passed by, she noticed a strange scent. Tiffany followed him, watching as he prepared the syringe and injected the liquid into the vial.
He seemed to be waiting for the right moment, aware of of the many om bodyguards outside and not wanting to cause a commotion. Tiffany sensed something was wrong. She stepped back cautiously.
"Who are you?"
