Chapter 158 The Kids Are Sick The Cooper Mansion.
Leon brought the kids home, but they didn't seem very happy. They looked at Leon with pitiful eyes, as if they wanted to say something but couldn't.
Leon rubbed his temples and sighed softly.
He knelt down in front of the kids, gently pinching Sam's cheek. "Sam, is there something you want to tell Daddy?" "Daddy, you know what I want to say... but you won't let Mommy cover, so I won't say it," Sam muttered, turning his head away.
Leon then looked at Barry, who remained silent as well.
Finally, Leon took Flora's hand, his tone softer and more patient. "What about you, Flora? Is there something you want to tell Daddy?" Flora's little face was full of conflict. She wanted Tiffany to cback, but she knew Leon wouldn't agree.
"Daddy, did you remember anything today?" Flora asked, her eyes full of hope. She wondered if the parent-child activity at kindergarten today might have jogged Leon's memory.
Leon looked puzzled. "What does Flora hope Daddy remembers?" The kids sighed in unison, looking helpless.
Leon didn't press further, guessing they all wanted Tiffany back. He let the kids play in the living room and went to his study alone.

Sam quickly comforted her. "Of course, Flora. Daddy just can't remember Mommy right now, but they will make up. We just have to try, like before, and find a way to bring them together." Barry nodded in agreement, and the kids put their hands together, cheering each other on.
At 8 PM.
Leon finished his work and cout of the study to find the living room empty. He went upstairs to check on the kids, but when he opened the door, the bedroom was unusually quiet and dark.
He felt for the light switch on the wall, and when the room lit up, he saw the kids lying on the bed, not moving. Sensing something was wrong, Leon went to Flora first, gently calling her name. "Flora... Flora..." Flora slowly opened her eyes at the sound of Leon's voice, but her eyelids were heavy. "Daddy..." She weakly responded before closing her eyes again, breathing heavily.
Leon touched her forehead. It was burning hot! Not only was Flora feverish, but Sam and Barry were also unconscious.
Leon quickly called Damon and had the driver take them to the hospital.
He didn't wake Ronald, not wanting to worry him.
In the car, Leon held Flora while Barry leaned against the back seat, with Sam beside him. Flora clutched Leon's shirt, mumbling, "Mommy... where's Mommy?" He informed Tiffany about the kids' illness and sent her the hospital address.
Tiffany had just gotten hwhen she saw the message and immediately drove to the hospital.
When she arrived, the kids had just finished their fever-reducing injections and were receiving IV fluids in the hospital room.
Tiffany knocked softly on the door and walked in quietly, not wanting to wake them up.
Leon had just finished tucking Flora in. He turned to look at Tiffany, and they exchanged a glance but didn't speak, both silently watching over the kids. Tiffany's eyes were full of worry.
Half an hour later, a nurse cin to change the IV and reminded Tiffany and Leon to give the kids another dose of fever medicine when they woke up.
"Weren't they fine at kindergarten today?" Tiffany couldn't help but ask, her gaze carrying a hint of blame.
"They were fine when we got home, but around 8 PM, after I finished my work, I noticed they had fevers," Leon explained patiently, not wanting to argue with Tiffany at this moment. After all, the kids had fallen ill under his watch, and he felt responsible.
Seeing Leon's remorseful expression, Tiffany couldn't bring herself to blhim further.
They sat by the bedside, waiting quietly for the kids to wake up.
In the middle of the night, Flora was the first to open her eyes. She turned her head to see Tiffany asleep with her chin resting on her hand, Leon's suit jacket draped over her shoulders. Leon was still working nearby. "Daddy... Mommy..." Flora's voice brought both of them to her side immediately, their eyes full of concern. Sam and Barry soon woke up, both immediately looking for Tiffany.

Tiffany made sure they took their medicine and had soatmeal before gently putting them back to sleep.
Afterward, Tiffany and Leon stepped out of the room, closing the door quietly behind them.
"If there's nothing else, I'll be going," Tiffany said, planning to leave once the kids were stable. She knew Leon is were st still had reservations about her, and she didn't want to push him while his memory was still incomplete.
But this time, Leon surprised her by asking her to stay. "You should stay for now. They need you. If they wake up and you're not here, they'll be upset." Tiffany was taken aback but smiled softly and agreed to stay.
There was a room next to the hospital room with two beds. They didn't want to disturb the kids, so they each took a bed, lying back-to-back in the quiet room.
Tiffany couldn't sleep. She listened for any sound from Leon, thinking he might be asleep. When she turned over, she found Leon doing the same.
They faced each other, their eyes meeting for a few seconds.
Leon felt his heart race, his gaze filled with uncertainty. Why did he feelso emotional when he looked into Tiffany's eyes?
