Chapter 21 Mommy Is the Best in the World "Stepmother?" Leon chuckled when he heard the term. He reached out, grabbed Tiffany's chin, and moved in closer.
Their faces were so close their lips almost touched. Tiffany swallowed nervously.
"Leon, what are you doing?" Tiffany asked, placing a hand on her chest, trying to look composed.
"Relax, I have zero interest in my ex-wife. What you're suggesting is even more ridiculous. Or maybe it's you who's havin' these thoughts and bringin' 'em up on purpose?" Leon emphasized "ex-wife" with heavy sarcasm. Tiffany shook off his hand and smirked. "Mr. Cooper, you're overthinking it. Our marriage just gaveheadaches, and I'm not a masochist." She wasn't lying. Without Jujia's persistent matchmaking and their compliance, she and Leon would have been total strangers. Even their divorce was initiated by Leon.
Leon's eyes turned cold as he grabbed her wrist and placed his other hand on her waist. "Years gone by, and now you've got a sharper tongue, but deep down, you're still the same." He pinched her waist, hitting her sensitive spot.
'Damn him,' Tiffany cursed silently.
"Mr. Cooper, if you keep this up, I can always call the cops," Tiffany said, prying his hand off her waist, finger by finger.

"Playing hard to get won't work on me," Leon said through gritted teeth.
"Givea break. You're not the center of the universe, you know!" Tiffany smirked, then stood on tiptoe, leaning towards Leon's face. Their lips were just a finger's width apart.
For a moment, there was a flicker of nervousness on Leon's face, which Tiffany noticed. "Seems like you're into go-getters, huh?" Tiffany traced her finger over the stubble on Leon's chin and smiled.
"None of your business." Leon realized he had been played and lowered his hand from the wall.
Tiffany knew Leon wouldn't push it further and was about to leave when she felt a tug on her clothes.
She looked down to see Flora standing there with a confused expression. "Mommy, weren't you going to the bathroom? Why are you playing a kissing ghere?" Flora blinked her little eyes as she spoke. It seemed Flora had seen her interaction with Leon. Tiffany coughed to cover her embarrassment. "Mommy's back from the bathroom. Let's go now." She took Flora's hand and was about to leave.
Leon took another look at Flora. Flora looked up, and their eyes met.
'Oh my god! This man looks so much like Sam. Could he be Daddy?' Flora wondered. She was convinced that the man in front of her was her father just by looking at him. There couldn't be two faces so alike in the world! Flora opened her mouth and pointed at Leon. Sensing the situation, Tiffany quickly picked Flora up and left without looking back, heading straight into the private room. Leon stood there, stunned. The way Flora looked at him just now made him feel something was off, but he couldn't quite figure out what it was.

Inside the private room, Sophia noticed Tiffany's flustered state and asked, "Tiffany, did you see a monster?" "Not a monster, it's Daddy!" Flora blurted out.
Tiffany tried to cover her mouth, but it was too late.
"Daddy?" Sophia looked at Tiffany in surprise, as if she had just heard a shocking secret.
"Daddy!" Barry finally reacted, looking equally surprised. He hadn't expected Mommy to meet Daddy, and even Flora recognized him.
"Flora, don't talk nonsense. He ain't your daddy. Your real daddy passed ages ago," Tiffany said firmly. She refused to acknowledge Leon as the children's father since he now had children with someone else.. She didn't want to disturb him or let the children recognize him.
Flora pouted and said softly, "But Mommy, Daddy looks so much like Sam." Sophia looked at Tiffany, then at Flora. It was clear Flora wasn't lying. Sophia knew about Leon from Tiffany and knew he was a bad man. She just hadn't expected them to run into him here and said to Flora, "Flora, you need to understand that your daddy abandoned your mommy, so we don't need him. Mommy has raised you all by herself, and it's been very hard for her." Flora, understanding Tiffany's hardships, silently held her hand. "Mommy, I didn't say I wanted Daddy back. I was just excited to see him for the first time. Sorry, Mom. I'll stick with you. If you don't want Dad to cback, he won't be our daddy." Flora obediently apologized to Tiffany. Touched by her daughter's words, Tiffany gently patted her head. "Flora, do you blMommy?" "Of course not. Mommy is the best in the world!" Flora hugged Tiffany and smiled sweetly.
Tiffany smiled with relief, her worries dissipating.

Barry watched silently from the side, realizing the misunderstanding between Daddy and Mommy was ve deep Resolving their misunderstanding wouldn't be easy. He wondered if Sam had made any progress with Daddy. Barry took the initiative to ask, "Mommy, why did you and Daddy get divorced?"
Tiffany looked at "Sam," who was more serious than ever and replied, "The divorce was his idea, an@hen chose to abandon us! Sam, Flora, since he doesn't want us, we don't want him either. Mommy can take good care of you alone!" Tiffany didn't give specific reasons and went over to hug the two children.
Barry, in Tiffany's arms, realized that to piece together the whole truth, they needed both Leon's and Tiffany's accounts.
Leaving the restaurant, Barry quickly texted Sam to ask Leon about the divorce tonight. If they got an answer, they could move forward.
Sam, having just finished eating, saw Barry's message and realized Mommy was at the restaurant too.
Luckily, they hadn't run into each other. Otherwise, if Flora saw them or Tiffany found out, their identity swap would be exposed. "Barry, let's go back." Leon cin from outside, his fingers smelling of smoke.
Sam, being perceptive, understood from the lingering smoke that Leon had something on his mind.
