Chapter 26 Meeting Leon at the Kindergarten Barry had no clue Sam was sick, and it freaked him out. If their father found out he and Sam were in the skindergarten, he'd totally flip and give their mother a hard time! He figured he'd wait for Sam to call back before coming up with a plan.

Just to be safe, Barry shot Sam a message: [Watch out for Dad at kindergarten.] Tiffany got a message from the principal saying the school was planning a parent-child swimming event in a week, and parents needed to sign up their kids.

A bit later, Barry followed Tiffany into the car, still in a daze, while Flora was busy with her doll. "Mom, where are we headed now?" Hearing "Sam's" voice, Tiffany glanced at him in the rearview mirror and smiled, "We're going to kindergarten!" "To school?" he asked nervously, gripping his shirt.

"What's up? You don't wanna go to school? Weren't you always buggingabout wanting to make friends?" Tiffany asked, curious.

"I did, Mom, I just didn't think it'd be this soon!" He quickly sat up straight, not daring to ask more.

Usually, Damon took him to school, so what were the odds he'd run into their dad, right? Hence this was not the source of his nervousness.

Barry's biggest worry was that once they got to kindergarten, he and Sam looked so much alike that the teachers might figure out their connection.

He touched his face, trying to calm himself down. With so many kids at the kindergarten, the principal probably wouldn't remember every single one! After a bit, Tiffany took the kids to the principal's office.

"Hello, Miss Grey." The principal had tea ready and was waiting for Tiffany. "Miss Grey, your daughter is adorable," the principal couldn't help but say.

Then she looked at Barry, her brow furrowing. His face seemed oddly familiar. Had she seen it somewhere before? "Principal, is something wrong?" Tiffany noticed the principal staring at "Sam" and asked, puzzled.

The principal realized she'd been staring too long and might've made Tiffany uncomfortable, so she quickly explained, "Maybe it's because the child is so cute that I feel like I've seen him somewhere before." "Really? Do you? Where?" Tiffany's heart skipped a beat. Could it be her lost child? Barry's heart started pounding. Was their secret about to be blown? "Maybe I was mistaken. With so many kids in the kindergarten, déjà vu happens." The principal couldn't recall and just smiled, thinking she was mistaken.

Barry let out a sigh of relief.

There were still two weeks until school officially started. The principal reminded them about the swimming event in a week and hoped parents and kids would join in.

After the registration process was finished, Tiffany took the kids out of the principal's office. Just as they reached the kindergarten gate, Barry touched his wrist.

Oh no! In the rush, he'd left his watch in the principal's office! He needed to get it back fast! He stopped and called out to Tiffany, "Mom, I left my watch in the principal's office." "I'll go get it for you," Tiffany saw his empty wrist and was about to head back.

Barry, worried Tiffany might see something on the watch, smiled sweetly. "Mom, I can get it myself. You and Flora wait here for me." "Okay, but hurry back." Tiffany watched "Sam" leave, and then a familiar license plate caught her eye. She frowned slightly. Leon? What was he doing at the kindergarten? Tiffany held Flora's hand tightly, instinctively wanting to hide. But the sports car screeched to a stop right in front of her.

The window rolled down slowly, and Leon, with his cold eyes, glanced at Tiffany. What was she doing here? Sam, sitting in the car, shrank back when he saw Tiffany.

Leon's gaze fell on the enrollment form in Tiffany's hand. His eyes darkened. Was Tiffany also sending her daughter to this school? Did she find out that Barry was at Alice Kindergarten? Leon stared at Tiffany, scrutinizing her, and even glared at Flora. Flora wasn't scared and stared back, thinking her daddy looked really fierce.

"Tiffany, you sure know how to pick a place," Leon sneered, thinking Tiffany had found out about Barry's school and deliberately sent her daughter there.

"Alice Kindergarten isn't owned by you. Where I send my daughter is none of your business," Tiffany shot back, protecting Flora, but her protective gesture only irritated Leon more.

Leon clenched his fists in anger. She cared so much for another man's child but had abandoned Barry so decisively! How hypocritical she was! Leon sternly told "Barry" to stay in the car and got out with a dark expression. He would never let Barry meet Tiffany again! He snorted coldly and brushed past her. However, Tiffany didn't care at all. Her attention was already drawn to the small figure in the back seat of the car.

She stared at the back seat, unable to hide her excitement. No wonder Leon reacted so strongly; his son was also at this kindergarten.

Sam, sitting in the car, was almost dying of nervousness as he saw Tiffany looking over. He clenched his fists tightly.

Fortunately, the luxury car had anti-peep film on all sides. People outside couldn't see in, but those inside could see out clearly, avoiding a direct confrontation with Tiffany.

Barry, coming out of the principal's office, immediately recognized Leon's car at the gate. He knew Sam e1 must be in the car. So, Barry quietly cto Tiffany's side and discreetly made an OK gesture towards the car window. Tiffany stared at the blurry figure in the car for a while, feeling that the child inside looked familiar. Before she could think further, "Sam" gently tugged at her clothes. "Mom, I'm a little hungry." Just a heads up: is the only place to read the complete version of this book for free. Don't miss out on the next chapter-visit us now and continue your journey! Tiffany gently rubbed his head and smiled, "Then let's go eat something." As they left, Sam breathed a sigh of relief, only able to watch their departing backs with envy. 'Mom, Sam misses you too,' he thought.

Not long after, Leon returned. Sam deliberately approached, "Dad, Mom was just there, and the child beside her looked..." Before he could finish, Leon interrupted, "In the future, try to avoid her at school. You know she abandoned you for someone else's child. What right does she have to be your mom?" He spoke angrily, clenching his fists.

"Barry" reached out his small hand and pried open Leon's fingers. Leon was surprised, and his tense fists gradually relaxed.

"Dad, could there be smisunderstanding?" "No misunderstanding, I've investigated thoroughly," Leon stated coldly.

Sam looked helpless. It seemed the misunderstanding was really big.

But he thought Leon and Tiffany were quite a good match. If he and Barry secretly helped to create more m beautifulencounters for them, would the situation improve? He thought for a moment, and an idea popped into his head. Leon noticed the cunning gleam in "Barry's" eyes and helplessly reached out to tap his forehead. He had observed that whenever "Barry" concocted a mischievous plan, his eyes would always dart about restlessly.

"Barry, what mischief are you up to now?" Leon asked, raising an eyebrow. "Barry" shook his head with a smile, holding Leon's arm in hot planning anything bad, Dad. Now that the school matters are settled, can you taketo eat?" "Barry" used his recent illness as an excuse, saying he hadn't had much appetite, and now that he felt better, he wanted a big meal. Leon agreed, "Alright, let's go."
