Chapter 28 Misunderstanding Deepens In the middle of the bustling crowd, their eyes met by accident. They recognized each other instantly.
"Tiffany? What are you doing here?" "Leon? What are you doing here?" Both were trying to figure out why the other was there.
Tiffany thought, knowing Leon's boring personality, there was no way he'd cto a place like this on his own. Unless...
She glanced at Leon. Unless he was here with someone he liked.
Leon had the sthought, assuming Tiffany must be here with another guy.
They stood there awkwardly for a few seconds before Leon broke the silence. "Tiffany, I knew you were the type who moves on so fast. Who's the unlucky guy this time?" Leon's sarcastic tone made her uncomfortable.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtTiffany knew Leon had already jumped to conclusions, thinking she was here to meet a man. So, she didn't bother to explain. If he wanted to think that, let him. She couldn't exactly tell him she was here with their kids! "Mr. Cooper, there's no need to be so harsh. Whoever I'm with is none of your business. It's funny seeing a dull guy like you here. You've grown into such a charmer now, going to such great lengths to woo a woman." Tiffany felt a pang of bitterness. Leon could do anything for other women, but he had no patience for her, not even a kind word. After they got married, they never went out together, never even stood side by side.
She had asked him to go to the beach several times, but he always had an excuse, and it was always the same: "What's the point of going to places like that?" Yeah, as long as he was with her, everything seemed pointless to him. Tiffany mocked herself silently and tried to keep her expression neutral.
Hearing Tiffany say it had nothing to do with him, Leon got even angrier. He stepped closer, his face full of rage, and Tiffany stared back defiantly.
They didn't say a word, just glared at each other, neither willing to back down.
Then someone nearby took a photo, and they both heard the "click" sound, turning to look.
The photographer pulled out the photo, shook it, and walked over with a smile. "Sorry to interrupt, but you two must be newly in love, right? Your gazes are so intense. I couldn't help but take a picture. Today, couples get free photos. Want to take a few more? You two look perfect together!" As the photographer spoke, the Polaroid photo developed. Even though neither Tiffany nor Leon was smiling, the photo made them look like a perfect match.
But they both denied it in unison.
"He's not worthy!" "She's not worthy!" The photographer scratched his head, confused that they spoke in unison but claimed not to be a match. Meanwhile, hiding in the shadows, Barry and Flora were watching their parents. Things weren't going as planned. "Sam, why do I feel like Mommy isn't happy?" Flora asked, forming 'hand binoculars' and pretending to look through them.
Barry noticed that not only was their mom unhappy, but Leon seemed off too. Could it be that Sam's plan had failed? Sam also saw things weren't going as expected. Leon should be taking photos with Tiffany by now, right? Why were they both so serious? Sam quickly texted Barry: [Something's off! Barry, you guys should pull back. I think Mom and Dad have another misunderstanding. Let's figure out what's going on first.] Barry's watch beeped. He glanced at Sam's message.
"Flora, go get Mom, but don't mention anything we talked about earlier," Barry reminded Flora, worried she might slip up.
Flora nodded and promised. "Don't worry, it's our secret." With that, Flora ran over to Tiffany and tugged at her clothes. "Mommy, I'm hungry.
Can we go eat something nearby?" She pointed to a nearby restaurant, her voice sweet and innocent.
Leon glanced at Flora, his eyes turning cold. So Tiffany's daughter was here too. It seemed they were out as a family! Ridiculous! Leon snorted and turned to leave.
Tiffany almost rolled her eyes. Leon had the nerve to be mad at her? He was probably in a hurry to get back to his beloved, afraid she was waiting too long, right? Seeing Leon leave, Flora pulled Tiffany towards Barry. Barry appeared in front of Tiffany, asking anxiously, "Mommy, I thought I saw Daddy with you from a distance. Why did he leave so quickly? Did he make you mad?" "Of course not. I don't care about him. He has someone with him! Let's go, don't disturb their good time." Tiffany took "Sam's" and Flora's hands, holding a child in each hand.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmBarry was still confused. A woman? Where was the woman with Leon? Wasn't it just Sam? Similarly, when Sam saw Leon return, he immediately ran over. "Daddy, I think I saw Mommy. Weren't you with her?" he asked obediently.
"No, she was with another man and their daughter. Barry, let's go home," Leon replied coldly, squatting down to pick up "Barry" and quickly leaving.
Originally planning to have a good twith "Barry," Leon decided to take his son away after seeing Tiffany, not wanting to give them a chance to meet.
Sam was also confused, feeling dumbfounded. He and Barry had planned so hard to get theim to interact at the couple's event. What happened? Why did their daddy think their mommy was with another man again? 'Flora is your daughter! Big dummy! And Mommy didn't have another man! Daddy, you're so stupid!' Sam could only complain silently in his heart.
While Leon held him, Sam secretly sent a message to Barry. Barry checked Sam's message while Tiffany and Flora were talking.
So that was what happened. It seemed both their parents thought the other was with someone else. Barry sighed and rubbed his forehead.
If this continued, who knew when they would clear up their misunderstanding? And now Lebh didn't even recognize Flora. What should they do? Wasn't it said that the bond between father and daughter was the strongest?
O Barry looked troubled, and Tiffany noticed, pinching his cheek. "Why do you look so worried. Didn't you insist on coming out to play? Isn't it fun here?" She gently smoothed his frown. "I just want to know why Mommy thinks Daddy has another woman." Hearing "Sam's" question, Tiffany stopped and rubbed his head. "Sam, when we divorced, he admitted it himself." Tiffany didn't want to bring up these sad memories with the kids, but she knew they had questions, so she decided to tell them the painful truth.
But these words made Barry's eyes light up. He found a clue to his m parents' misunderstanding. He was sure that Tiffany divorced Leon because she thought her ex had fallen for someone else! So was there really such a person? Barry thought he needed to call Sam and share this new discovery!
