Chapter 293 Give Her a Bank Card, and We Are Even Upstairs.

Dorinda had just cout of Leon's room. They stood there, staring at each other, not saying a word.

Dorinda wanted to speak but didn't know where to start or how to begin.

She knew she had wronged Aiden, but for the sake of her future, she felt she had no other choice.

But who would have thought that in the end, she got nothing.

Aiden just looked at Dorinda quietly for a long time, making her feel very uncomfortable.

"If you want to blme, yell at me, or even hit me, I won't complain," Dorinda finally said, glancing at Aiden before looking away awkwardly.

She just couldn't face Aiden.

Dorinda had thought that once things worked out with Leon, she would cclean to Aiden.

But standing in front of Aiden now, she couldn't say a word.

She didn't have the courage to look at him.

Aiden was silent for a few seconds before he slowly spoke, his voice tinged with a hint of tears.

"Dorinda, I want to know what I did wrong. How am I not as good as Leon? I could have given you a good life too. I could buy you anything you wanted. But why did you have to ruin Leon and Miss Grey's relationship? They are my friends, and you are the one I love. What am I supposed to do? What you did has putin a tough spot." Aiden wanted to blDorinda, but he also understood her.

People who have lived in the mud for a long time, treated like dirt, will grab onto any hope and try to climb up, never wanting to be oppressed again.

Dorinda was that kind of person, so she chose Leon. Aiden didn't blher for that. But Dorinda shouldn't have done what she did. It was too painful and unacceptable.

If Leon had accidentally walked in, what would have happened? Aiden felt guilty, so when he got that call from Ulysses, he couldn't hold it in anymore.

"I know what I did is hard for anyone to accept, but I don't regret it. Now that you know, I have nothing more to say. Aiden, when I first met you, I did like you. But as I left that dirty place, I wanted more. Maybe it was my vanity, wanting better things or people." Dorinda spoke decisively, "I'm sorry, Aiden. I can't stay here anymore. You don't have to feel bad. From today on, we're done. We have no relationship anymore." She knew she couldn't ask for forgiveness, and Aiden wouldn't pretend nothing happened.

So, it was better to end things completely.

Dorinda turned to leave, but Aiden reached out and grabbed her wrist.

He pulled out a bank card from his pocket and placed it in her hand.

Dorinda was momentarily stunned when she saw the card.

She didn't get why Aiden was still being nice to her after she did something so bad.

"Dorinda, when I brought you out of that dirty place, I promised to give you a good life. Now you're going back home, with no friends or family, so take this as our final goodbye." Dorinda clutched the card tightly. She understood Aiden didn't want her to struggle after leaving the Cooper Mansion.

Her eyes reddened.

For a moment, Dorinda regretted her choices. If she hadn't gone after Leon, could she have been happy with Aiden? But it was too late.

There was no turning back from the choices she made.

Tiffany had tried to warn her, but Dorinda didn't listen. She thought Leon was the best and didn't want to give up, hurting Aiden in the process.

"Consider this a loan, Aiden. No matter what, I wronged you. When I have money, I'll pay you back. I hope you find someone better." These were Dorinda's last words. She went to her room, packed her things, and walked past Aiden without looking back.

Tiffany and the others stood in the living room, not stopping her.

Dorinda then left without looking back.

She knew she couldn't stay, so she didn't let herself have any lingering thoughts.

Once Dorinda left, everything beceerily quiet.

Aiden slowly walked down the stairs and approached the bouquet of roses on the table.

He picked up the roses without saying a word.

Ulysses, worried, walked over to Aiden, but the words of comfort stuck in his throat.

"There's no need to say anything. I know Dorinda did something she shouldn't have, and it's my fault too. If I had stopped her from the beginning, none of this would have happened." Aiden then turned to Tiffany and Leon. "I'm sorry, Miss Grey. I'm sorry, Leon. I've caused you trouble again." Aiden forced a smile, but everyone knew it was painful. It was more like a cry than a smile.

And Aiden did cry.

His tears wouldn't stop, falling like a broken kite.

The kids tried their best to comfort Aiden, but he cried even harder.

Eventually, Aiden cried himself to sleep and went upstairs to his room.

Ulysses, still worried, checked on him and found him sleeping soundly.

Ronald cback around this tand heard about what happened between Dorinda and Aiden.

He was angry but relieved that Dorinda didn't succeed. Otherwise, the house would have been in chaos. But he felt bad for Aiden.

He finally liked a girl, but things ended up like this.

Ronald sighed and told Damon to continue preparing dinner, deciding not to mention it again.

When it was tto eat, they thought Aiden might not cdown, but they were wrong.

Aiden cdown on time, acting as if nothing had happened.

He ate heartily, not looking sad at all.

After eating, he went back to his room and slept.

But they all knew.

Aiden was just pretending, not wanting them to worry.

As long as nothing unexpected happened, they would let him carry on like this.

However, something did happen to Aiden.
