Chapter 65 None of His Business Bronte hesitated for a sec but still grabbed the tiny camera Miguel handed over and got up to leave. "This is the last tI did this kind of stuff for you," she muttered before walking out of the coffee shop.
Miguel grinned, paid the bill, and followed her out.
Neither of them noticed Tiffany, who had been there since Bronte walked in, sitting right behind Miguel.
Bronte was too caught up in her thoughts to see her. Miguel didn't know Tiffany and didn't care, so she overheard everything. She already had sintel on the land bidding and now knew Bronte was involved. Tiffany, having been married to Leon for years, knew him well. He was always cautious and never let anyone take advantage of him. So if Bronte managed to swipe the planning book easily, it had to be part of Leon's plan. Bronte had walked right into his trap.
Tiffany sipped her coffee. Leon hadn't confronted Bronte about it, probably wanting to let it slide. It seemed Bronte still mattered to him.
But Tiffany's thoughts paused as she remembered what Miguel had said: Bronte had deceived Leon.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt'What did she lie about? And does Leon know?' Tiffany wondered.
Miguel used this to blackmail Bronte into betraying Leon. It had to be something big for Bronte to cave so quickly.
Tiffany was now unsure. Should she tell Leon about the camera? 7 PM, the Cooper Mansion.
Leon had just finished a client meeting and chome. He changed his shoes and walked into the living room, freezing in his tracks.
At the dining table, Ronald was surrounded by three kids. Tiffany, wearing an apron, cout of the kitchen with a bowl of chicken soup, smiling at the old man and the kids.
When Tiffany saw Leon, her smile faded. She wiped her hands on the apron and said, "Cand eat." Leon frowned but walked over and sat across from her. He glanced at Ronald, who snorted and ignored him. Tiffany served the chicken soup, placing the last bowl in front of Leon. Leon stared at the soup for a few seconds. He remembered when they first got married, Tiffany would cook all sorts of dishes every day, waiting for him to chfor dinner. But he always used work as an excuse to avoid eating with her, heading straight to the study. Even so, Tiffany would bring him a bowl of soup late at night, not disturbing his work.
Leon took a sip of the soup. Though he knew Tiffany often cooked, he had never really tasted her food before. To his surprise, the soup was delicious. He looked up at Tiffany, astonished.
"Mommy, I want more!" Sam's voice broke his gaze, and he went back to drinking the soup.
Tiffany smiled and served Sam more. The dining table exuded a rare sense of harmony and comfort.
After dinner, the kids took turns bathing, and Ronald went to his room early. Tiffany and Leon sat in the living room, the silence between them heavy.
"I need to tell you something," they both said at the stime, turning to face each other.
After a few seconds of awkward silence, they spoke in unison again, "You go first." Feeling super awkward, Tiffany quickly looked away and softly repeated, "You go first." Leon nodded, hesitated for a moment, and said, "Tiffany, I really appreciate you being here with Grandpa." Leon's gratitude was genuine. Since Jujia passed away, he knew Ronald had felt particularly lonely and had chosen to return to the countryside alone because he missed her. But with Tiffany and the kids by Ronald's side, he genuinely smiled again, and for that, Leon was naturally grateful to her.
"Grandpa has always been good to me. When Grandma was alive, they treatedlike their own granddaughter. I have no reason to treat them poorly." Tiffany spoke quietly, nervously tugging at her clothes. She bit her lip and decided to tell Leon what she saw today.
She looked up again, her gaze serious on him. "Leon, do you trust Bronte?" Hearing Tiffany's words, Leon's expression darkened. He thought Tiffany was going to badmouth Bronte again. "Tiffany, if you're going to slander her in front of me, don't bother." Leon was still defending Bronte, making Tiffany regret meddling. She wasn't sure if Leon would believe her after she spoke.

"Leon, I don't mean to target Bronte. I just want to tell you to be cautious with her in the company to avoid any real problems." "My business is none of your concern, and you have no say in the company's matters." Leon coldly rejected Tiffany's good intentions.
Hearing Tiffany's warning about my's Bronte made Leon uncomfortable. But despite Tiffany's words, he still harbored doubts about Bronte. After alt, Bronte had already betrayed him once in the bidding matter. Even if Tiffany hadn't said anything, Leon would still be wary of Bronte prying into company affairs.
Tiffany knew she shouldn't have spoken up. With Leon about to get engaged to Bronte, how could hen possibly believe her? He probably thought she was deliberately targeting Bronte to slander her.
Forget it. Tiffany didn't want to explain further. She spoke up only to prevent any trouble for Leon's company and for Ronald, as the company was the result of Ronald's hard work in his youth.
"In that case, pretend I said nothing. It's late, and I'll leave now. I hope you take good care of Sam, Barry, and Flora." Tiffany left the Cooper Mansion with her bag, feeling complicated. She really wanted to know how important Bronte was to Leon.
As Tiffany's thoughts drifted, her phone rang, snapping her back to reality. She opened her bag, unlocked her phone, and read the message.
