Chapter 72 Asking Miguel for Help Against Tiffany Bronte's eyes went wide with fear as she tried to make a run for it. She had cto deliver the engagement party invite, hoping to rub it in Tiffany's face. But now, with Tiffany grilling her, she was freaking out.
She never thought Tiffany would find out about that night so fast. With her engagement to Leon coming up, Bronte couldn't let Tiffany mess things up. She had to be Leon's wife! Tiffany smirked, pulling out her phone and showing off Leon's number. "What's the matter? Cat got your tongue? What do you think will happen if I call Leon right now and spill the beans?" Bronte's face contorted with fury, and in a split second, she lunged for Tiffany's phone. But Tiffany was a step ahead. She swiftly pulled her hand back, leaving Bronte grasping at empty air. The sight of her own failure only fueled Bronte's anger further.
"Tiffany, what do you want?" Bronte snarled, her anger boiling over.
Tiffany found Bronte's jealous rage kind of funny. "Bronte, you know Leon hates being lied to. Your lies are gonna cout sooner or later." "So what? By then, I'll already be Mrs. Cooper!" Tiffany shook her head and asked, "Can you really live with yourself, knowing you got everything by pretending to be someone else? Do you really think once the engagement party is over, you'll be Mrs. Cooper? How do you think Leon will react when he finds out it's all a sham?" Bronte covered her ears and screamed, "No way! Leon said he likes me!" Like? Tiffany scoffed, no longer caring about Leon's empty declarations. His so-called affection for Bronte was nothing more than a confusion, a mistaken identity from five years ago. The one Leon truly remembered from that night was herself, not Bronte.
If Leon's feelings could be swayed by mere misrecognition from a one-night stand half a decade, then Tiffany had no need for such fickle and meaningless affection.

But Bronte thought differently. She believed that once Tiffany knew why Leon liked her, she would definitely revealed the truth to Leon, and get back to Leon.
"Good luck to you; you're gotta need it." Tiffany said, walking past Bronte and leaving. Bronte, panicking, called out, "Tiffany!" Tiffany ignored her, turned around, and shut the villa door.
Bronte, anxious, stomped her feet, unable to hide the hatred in her eyes. She couldn't let Tiffany expose her! With shaking hands, Bronte dialed Miguel's number.
"Have you made up your mind, Miss Langley?" Miguel's voice cthrough, sounding amused.
"Yeah, but I need you to do something for me. If you pull it off, I'll help you this time." Just a heads up: is the only place to read the complete version of this book for free. Don't miss out on the next chapter-visit us now and continue your journey! "No problem," Miguel agreed right away.
"Aren't you gonna ask what it is?" Bronte frowned, confused.
Miguel chuckled, "Miss Langley, you know I can't say no to you." Bronte's eyes sparkled, and she grinned. "Alright, here's what I need you to do..." At the Larson Corporation, Miguel's eyes were dark as he dialed a number after his call with Bronte had ended.
Once connected, he explained Bronte's plan to the person on the other end. "Yeah, her name's Tiffany. Make sure you get the right person. I'll send you her photo again." Hanging up, Miguel turned around only to see Ralph standing outside the office, glaring at him with a fiery intensity. Miguel jumped, clutching his chest. "What are you doing here?" Ralph stormed in, fists clenched. "Miguel, did you just mention Tiffany? What are you up to?" He knew if Miguel was talking about Tiffany, it couldn't be good-They had no reason to interact. Ralph had personally handled the company's collaboration with her, and Miguel hadn't even met her! "It's none of your business. Stop prying. Besides, our deal with Tiffany is over. Her studio's success is thanks to the Larson Corporation anyway," Miguel said dismissively.

Miguel was taken aback, surprised by Ralph's boldness. "Why do you care about Tiffany?" he asked suspiciously.

Ralph took a deep breath, knowing he needed to be careful. Otherwise, if Miguel knew he cared deeply for Tiffany, it would add to her trouble. "Miguel, I was just thinking, since Tiffany just worked with us, if something happens to her, it could affect the Larson Corporation. That's why I'm concerned." Miguel bought Ralph's excuse and snorted derisively. "Tiffany pissed someone off, and they wantto handle it. Naturally, I agreed. It won't be long before the person I contacted finds Tiffany and ruins her reputation." Ralph's eyes filled with worry. He couldn't afford to wait any longer. Ignoring Miguel's suspicious gaze, he turned and left the office.
Outside, Ralph quickly dialed Tiffany's number, but it went straight to voicemail. His anxiety spiked. He jumped in his car and sped towards Tiffany's studio.
Meanwhile, Leon woke up from a disturbing dream.
After coming back to the Cooper Mansion from the kindergarten, Leon had taken a nap and onge again m dreamt of that fateful night from five years ago. Though the face in his dream remained fuzzy, it persistently overlapped with Tiffany's.
Drenched in cold sweat, Leon felt on the cusp of uncovering the truth. He immediately called Tiffany, but her phone was off. Desperate, he grabbed his car keys and stormed out of the mansion, ignoring the puzzled looks from his three kids. Sam tilted his head, touching his chin thoughtfully. Flora clung to Sam's arm, trying to peek into the yard, but Leon was already gone.
Barry, just as confused, asked, "What's up with Daddy? Did something happen again?"
