Chapter 90 Miguel Takes Over the North Suburb Project Ralph got what Tiffany was saying; she could learn to love again, but there was no way she was going back.
Tiffany didn't want to have a real talk with Leon because she was scared she'd end up softening towards him. She admitted she still had feelings for Leon-She had loved him deeply once and still cared about things related to him-Yet, the pain from their failed marriage five years ago lingered like a scar, one she couldn't bear to reopen.
She had loved Leon for so long and finally married him, thinking they'd be happy forever. But Leon had harbored severe misunderstandings about her, showing nothing but coldness.
When Jujia was around, Leon displayed a semblance of warmth, but when they were alone, he was distant and unwelcoming, never offering even a hint of a smile.
The memory made Tiffany's heart ache. Back then, she had been so humble, yearning for just a modicum of Leon's affection and ending up more hurt than she could have imagined. Now, Leon claimed to recognize her as the one from the past and sought to make amends. She wondered if his guilt cfrom genuine regret or if he was simply seeking closure. If she weren't the one he had fixated on, would he even feel this remorse? Lost in her thoughts, Tiffany decided it might be best to leave the past where it belonged-buried. Letting go seemed like the only way forward.

"Tiffany, since you've made up your mind, I'll pursue you with more passion than ever. I won't give Leon any chance to cbetween us." Tiffany just smiled and didn't say anything.
After hanging out in the living room for a while, Ralph got a call from the company and had to leave.
When Ralph arrived at Miguel's office, he barely stepped in before a fist cflying at him, hitting him square on the nose. Blood trickled down, leaving a strong metallic taste.
"Ralph, you ruined my plans. Whatever I want to do, you always interfere. Now you're helping Tiffany?" Miguel's angry voice rang out, and another punch followed, but this tit didn't hit Ralph's face.
Ralph caught Miguel's hand, stopping him. "Miguel, you can hurt anyone, but not Tiffany," he said seriously, shaking off Miguel's hand.
Miguel almost laughed in anger. "No wonder you were asking about her the other day. You were worried about her. You've hidden it well. Falling for Leon's ex-wife? Ralph, don't forget, we and the Cooper group are mortal enemies! Aren't you afraid of involving the Larson Corporation by having feelings for his ex-wife?" Miguel had just discovered this connection and couldn't believe Tiffany and Leon were exes.
"Tiffany divorced him. They have no relationship and won't involve the Larson Corporation or harm its interests," Ralph retorted, his voice steady but laced with tension.
As soon as Ralph finished speaking, Miguel couldn't help but laugh. He looked at Ralph with a calculating gaze. "Ralph, I didn't expect you to be so sentimental, hiding it so well! What do you think Dad will do if he finds out you like Tiffany? Will he support you two being together, or will he also go after her?" Miguel's eyes were filled with glee as he spoke the last few words. He had finally caught Ralph making a mistake, so naturally, he had to make good use of it. Now, Ralph had no choice but to listen to him.
Ralph's face turned grim. He didn't want to drag Tiffany into any trouble. But as Miguel pointed out, if Derek found out about Tiffany, he wouldn't tolerate her.
Derek had high expectations for Ralph. Any woman who got close to Ralph would be scrutinized by Derek, and he wouldn't let any questionable woman near him, let alone Tiffany, who was Leon's ex-wife.
"Ralph, Dad doesn't know about this yet. Should we tell him?" Miguel's eyes were locked on Ralph, waiting to see if he'd cave.
Ralph frowned and clenched his teeth. "What do you want?" "I like dealing with smart people. Ralph, you always outshineat the company. Dad even gave you the North Suburb project. If it succeeds, it'll be worth millions! I don't want much. Just givethe project, and I promise not to say a word to Dad." Miguel's greedy eyes were fixed on Ralph, waiting for him to agree.

Ralph was torn. He knew how profitable that project was. If he handed this opportunity to Miguel and it succeeded, Derek's already lofty expectations for Miguel would skyrocket. Ralph feared that his own standing and value within the Larson Corporation would be severely diminished. Miguel must have thought of this, which was why he used the North Suburb project as leverage. But Ralph couldn't bear to see Tiffany beca casualty of their power struggle. In the end, he agreed. Miguel's eyes lit up, and he laughed loudly. Not giving Ralph a chance to back out, he immediately handed Ralph the prepared project transfer contract for him to sign.
Ralph took the contract with trembling hands and signed it with a heavy heart. He could get other projects as long as he satisfied Derek. But if Tiffany got hurt because of him, Ralph would regret it for life.
After Ralph left, it took less than half an hour for Miguel to take over the project He had just newly acquired finished talking with the project manager and hadn't had tto call his secretary when the office door was kicked open.
"Miguel, you have to helpget rid of Tiffany! I want her to pay!" The person who stormed in was Bronte, her face full of resentment, rudely demanding Miquel's help. Miguel's tone was cold as he bluntly reopened her scar. "Miss Langley, your engagement with Leon has been canceled, right? You have no value toanymore." Bronte looked away guiltily, her voice losing confidence. "So... so what? I helped you with those things. Aren't you afraid I'll tell Leon? Ruin your plans?" Bronte tried to threaten Miguel, but he just mocked her. "Do you think you can still see Leon? Bronte, don't kid yourself. After you deceived Leon, he probably doesn't even want to hear your name." Miguel's words hit home. Otherwise, Leon wouldn't have humiliated her at the engagement party, making it hard for her to stay in Harmony City.
Leon had gone to such lengths, he must loathe Bronte! So how could she make him willingly see her again?
